Batam Water Parks

Water parks are guaranteed to entertain the children. Batam has at least 2 worthy of a visit.

Aqua Adventure – Sea Forest Adventure Nuvasa bay

Aqua Adventure Track Sea forest Batam

Nuvasa Bay  is the most recent water-park in Batam and is quickly gaining popularity.   This is a large inflatable water park located in the sea on the Nongsa coastline very close to NongsaPura ferry terminal and close to Pantai Nongsa a popular Batam beach

The water park has swings, climbing sections, swinging monkey bars,  slides sheer drops, and a trampoline. This may not be suitable for toddlers, but the staff on site are very attentive and life vests are provided.

There’s a floating bar for drinks and eats within the park among the inflatables. This is a good choice if you’d like to combine your visit with spell on the beach.

Cost is from Rp35,000 for adults and Rp 25,000 for kids with additional prices for extra activities.  It’s best to consider how long you intend to stay and then choose an appropriate package.

Also located on site are clean changing areas and showering facilities.

Batu Aji Water Park Top 100 Tembesi

Water Park Top 100 Tembesi Batam

Batu Aju Tembesi water park located close to Top 100 Tembesi.

Often overlooked probably due to its location away from the tourist trail,  Batu Aji is not that far away and is actually on route to Barelang.  Ideal for those wanting to spend part of the day having fun, and finish checking out the sunset with a spot of live seafood.

The water park is open every day and id busiest at weekends of course. The site itself is impressively large and can accommodate several hundred visitors. Don’t be put off attending at busy times, there’s room for all.  The theme of the water park is decorated with marine characters like sea horses, dolphins & turtles, which makes for a magical atmosphere for the little ones.

There are large pools, slides, waterfalls and an exceptionally large shallow paddling pool only 30cm which can handle over 200  toddlers.

Some slides are only for the brave & thrill seekers however, due to their height.  It’s quite a climb to the top, but well worth it if you’re brave enough to take the plunge to the bottom.

The park has sufficient lifeguards on duty, clean changing and washing areas.

Nagoya City Walk

Nagoya City Walk

At Fun World Nagoya City Walk in the center of town there’s a huge domed area filled with a fun fair and fantastic rides for kids (and adults). This is one of the few places your family day trip will not be ruined by the weather as it’s all indoors.  We offer free drops to Nagoya City walk for guests staying with us.

Inside the dome the indoor funfair is surrounded by shops, restaurants and cafes.

Popular eating places here are  Duck King, J. COBento Tei and Mr Pancake Nagoya Food Court is just over the road from Nagoya City Walk too.  You’ll find an amazing choice of foods there.

Part of the City Walk complex contains an outdoor area where there’s small kiosks selling fries, ice creams, drinks and a host of other snacks.  This outdoor area often plays host to exhibitions and events and has a nice seating area.

In addition to the snacks, there is also a small food court called Baba Street located at the lower level.

Funland Rides

  • A large fast rotating swing in the centre
  • Bumper cars
  • Safari track
  • Frog hopper,
  • Roller coaster,
  • Large swing,
  • Merry go round
  • Flying helicopters which the kids can make go high by pedaling.

A train with driver and two carriages circles the dome.

Visitors can choose whether to pay for individual rides or purchase an unlimited wristband.  The wristband is by far the most economical form of payment as it costs just Rp 100,000 (less than $10 SGD) for unlimited time.  Compare this to costs of Rp 18,000 for one ride on some attractions and it’s easy to see why most prefer the unlimited option.

Trick Eye Museum

3D Trick Eye Museum Batam

Located on the 2nd floor is one of Batam’s two 3D Trick eye museums.  With an Indonesian theme.

The 3D museum is a great place for all the family to hang out and take optical illusion photos which will trick your friends and family.

Themes include Indonesian tourist locations like Bali & Borobudur.  You can fake water rapids, fighting wild wild animals and many others.

It’s a very clever concept that the whole family can enjoy.

Nagoya City Walk is blessed with undoubtedly the cheapest factory clothes outlet in Batam. A huge two floor store with clothing and accessories for male female and children is on site.  Great for mum to spend some time browsing whilst Dad watches the kids.

Opposite to the factory outlet are other stalls.  There’s a good duty free store to buy beer and spirits.  An optician and a really good art stall that sells great paintings, prints and frames at really cheap prices.

Nagoya City Walk is easiest to get to using Harbour Bay ferry terminal.

Ocarina (Coastarina)

Ocarina Batam

Traveling in to Batam Center by ferry, you cannot fail to miss the large feris wheel to the right with the large written Coastarina sign.  Ocarina is located just a few minutes from Mega Mall in Batam Center Ocarina is easily accessible and great for families with children.

We use Ocarina for some of our Batam Team Building events as the facilities and space here are ideal

Comprising many attractions, such as rides, a small water park, beach and parkland.

The water park is not as large as Top 100 Tembesi but is ideal for infants with small slides and tilting buckets, larger kids will also enjoy playing here.

The aerobike attraction is set on a 150m track above ground designed to give the rider the  illusion they’re riding on air.
Robot rail, flying elephants and a small carousel, 360 rotating swing, park train, rocking buses and a balloon palace.

There’s no shortage of snack, treats and even main meals here with many vendors offering all types of eats.

After enjoying all fun and attractions there’s a nice beach area to sit and relax. A great place to sit during the late afternoon with views of Nongsa and Singapore clearly visible most days.

The nearest Batam has to a zoo.  Taman mata kucing is ideal for families with children, a wildlife sanctuary where you can get close up to nature.  You can trek through the jungle here if you wish, although good advice would be to take a guide who knows what they’re doing.

Set in the natural forest just off the road between Sekupang and Batu Aji this is a great chance to see wildlife of Indonesia.  On the private kept reserve they have 20 species of protected birds, monkeys, crocodiles, lizards, turtles, snakes & fish to name a few.

There’s a small clean pool for the kids to play in along with a purpose built playground.

Taman Wisata Habibie 1000 Tangga (The thousand Step Tourist Garden)

Taman Wisata 1000 Tangga Batam

Tree top adventure park is not too far from Sekupang ferry terminal on the western side of Batam close to  Dangas beach, not too far from the KTM resort.  There probably isn’t as many as 1000 steps, but the walk through the trees and climb to the top is really rewarding.  You can see a wonderful vista of the Singapore skyline once you get here.
