For Batam go karts there are now three circuits in Batam. Choosing which one is best for you will depend on which of the venues below you think are most suitable.

If you’re intending to experience  karting in Batam, please note it’s extremely busy on weekends and public holidays.  By far the best way to avoid a long queue is to attend in the week or better still stay overnight and then arrive at the tracks early in the morning.  Stay with us and we’ll arrange for you as well as provide your transport there.

Thamrin City is the latest addition to go karts in Batam.  Located next to Nagoya hill mall and just a few minutes walk or free drop from our Batam Vacation Suites. This is probably the most strategic location for karts in Batam as you’re really close to Batam malls, food courts and much more.  Nearest Batam ferry terminal is Harbour Bay.
The Thamrin City complex has quickly become very popular for it’s indoor food court with comfortable seating areas.  There are also offerings for Spas, Seafood , Dim Sum and the famous Mixue ice cream parlour.  
All go karts here are electric powered and they even have smaller karts for the kids.  They’ve built the kart track on one of the Thamrin City car park floors.  By doing so you’re guaranteed it will be operating rain or shine and will not be getting wet during sudden downpours.  Not only that but this is the one place you can go karting until late into the evening.

Batam Dirt Karts

 

Prepare yourself to get dirty!

This is Batam’s dirty option for go karts.  As you’ve probably guessed by the name, this is no ordinary go kart experience.  Batam Dirt Karts (BDK) is like a cross between ordinary go karts and ATV’s.  Their track is a long and exciting 560 meters of purpose built dirt road, with 9HP  go karts, fast straights, and tight hair pin bends.

As you’ll see by the pictures here, if you choose to use this Batam go kart track then you’re strongly advised to take a change of clothes.  Stay with us and you can wash your dirty clothes for free after the fun.  Contact us for details.

Golden City Go Karts have been operating for several years. Rather than a bespoke go kart track, the layout here is formed by arranging tires on a large area that has been asphalted.

If speed and a challenging layout is what you’re looking for, you may be a little disappointed.  The track consists of just 4 cornering zones which present little challenge because the karts  simply don’t go fast enough. Some visitors that have left reviews for Golden Kart complain about the karts being slow and the track being rather boring so you may want to consider the marina circuit if you prefer to go a little faster.

However, Golden Karts have a 2 seat kart for those who have children not big enough to drive themselves.  This is a plus for families also planning to enjoy the many other attractions and activities there are at Golden City or at the recently developed Batam beach areas in Bengkong.

Please note that the Marina track has has closed with plans to move to Bengkong (around 300 metres from Golden Karts) and will be known as The Dragon Circuit.    As soon as we have more information and photos we will update this post. 

At Marina Go Karts  you’ll find Batam’s first and original kart circuit. Step One Marina Circuit is for serious racers with go karts and a layout far more challenging than at Golden City.  Interestingly, some local Batam residents even bring their own go karts here to race!
The circuit comprises of a 900 meter long purpose built go kart track.  There’s challenging  long fast straights, winding bends and sharp hairpins.

At Step One you’ll find a great compliment of karts that are well maintained.  Of great importance to most will be the fact that they go fast enough to be a little scary when taking on the curves.    The circuit has 12 standard rental karts. For the really serious and fearless, there’s 4 bespoke race karts available too.  But these babies go too quick for most mortals to handle.

Step One are a group friendly operation with up to date technology.  Their karts have electronic devices that send data to a computer  which tracks the performance. It’s great to have race information and results printed during and after racing.  Which in turn is great for groups attending to do a little team building and generate some friendly rivalry.  The main building is big  enough to hold large groups and have adequate catering for snacks and drinks.
